10) a civil action (1998 )- This film is based on a true story about a court case about the environmental pollution that have occurred in Woburn, Massachusetts in the 1970s . the real case, this film revolves around contamination of local aquifers, which has caused deaths from leukemia and cancer, as well as other health problems among citizens of the city. John Travolta plays Jan Schlichtmann, cocky and successful personal injury lawyer who leads the class action suit and goes to great lengths to win the case for their clients even if it is to ruin. This film also co-stars Robert Duvall, who was nominated for Best Supporting Actor.

9) The Client (1994 )- This film is based on John Grisham's novel of the same name. It is the star Susan Sarandon as Reggie Love attorney who hired a young boy, with information on where to kill Senator. Brad Renfro plays Mark Sway, a boy who hired Reggie to protect their rights and at the end of his life, from unscrupulous law enforcement, the U.S. attorney in charge of the murder case of senators, and the mafia. Tommy Lee Jones stars as U.S. Attorney "Reverend" Roy Foltrigg. This film was one of the most successful films of 1994, and Susan Sarandon was nominated for an Oscar for best actress.

8) Amistad (1997) -. Steven Speilberg directed this historical film about the true story of a slave rebellion that took place in 1839 and a legal battle that followed. Although slaves won the case in the federal district level, the appeal of the President Martin Van Buren in the Supreme Court. With the help of former President John Quincy Adams, a young lawyer named Roger Sherman Baldwin was able to win the case and help the slaves to return home to Africa. It is ultimately his mission to prove that a black man can get a fair trial in Mississippi. Matthew McConaughey stars as Jake Brigance, and some of the supporting cast are Sandra Bullock, Kevin Spacey, Keifer Sutherland and Samuel L. Jackson as Carl Lee Hailey. Jackson received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actor.

2) My Cousin Vinny (1992) -. While heading for college, Bill and Stan are arrested in Alabama when they are accused of robbing and killing a convenience store clerk. Unable to afford an attorney, they turn to Bill's cousin Vinny, brash New Yorker who is six tries to pass his bar ispit.Problem is, it only takes a personal injury case, none of which have gone to trial. Dragging along a more abrasive fiancee Mona Lisa Vito, Vinny will have to be corrected quickly, and keep himself out of jail if he is going to win the event. Vinny starring Joe Pesci and Marisa Tomei plays his girlfriend, Mona. Tomei won an Oscar for best supporting actress.
